The Design diary (D1024) in A5 size has a cover in thermal PU leather and a geometric pattern across the front. A5 is a handy page format, small enough to carry in a bag and large enough to leave room on each page for plans, schedules and notes. The cover is soft, with a slightly mottled, suede-like texture and a muted tone that shifts gently across the surface.
The pattern is the main feature. Rows of interlocking angular shapes, which look like stacked cubes or stars, are set into the cover along the top and the bottom. Because the shapes repeat in a tight grid, they form a continuous texture, and they are cut in the same tone as the cover, so the pattern reads as depth and shadow instead of added color. In the middle of the front, a wide plain band is left open between the two patterned sections, which gives the cover a clear, balanced layout.
The edges of the cover are neat, and the corners are softly rounded. No strap, button or clasp is visible on the front, so the diary closes as a simple flat book, and the surface stays uninterrupted from edge to edge.
The diary comes in two colors, grey and tan. The grey one is cool and subtle, and the tan one is warmer and deeper. The pattern, the finish and the layout are identical in both, so only the color changes from one to the other.
