The Urban GEAR D1038 Eterna Diary is an A5 diary with a thermal PU leather cover shaped by deep vertical ribbing. The grooves run from the top edge to the bottom edge in tightly spaced, even lines, so the front looks like pleated fabric. Light catches the raised ridges and leaves the grooves in shadow, which gives the surface real depth.
A smooth horizontal band crosses the middle of the cover. Where the ribbing stops, the surface turns flat and even, and this change in texture divides the front into three zones: a ribbed top, a smooth band and a ribbed bottom. The band is the same color as the rest of the cover, so the effect comes from texture and not from contrast. The corners are gently rounded, and the outline stays clean.
Three colors are offered. The green is a soft sage shade, fresh and light. The gray is a cool, mid-tone color that stays neutral. The beige is a warm sand tone. In every color the grooves look slightly darker than the ridges, which gives the ribbing a quiet tonal rhythm without any added decoration.
The thermal PU leather gives the smooth band an even finish, while the ribs keep the cover from looking flat.
