The Noble diary (D1023) in A5 size has a cover in thermal PU leather and a pen holder built into the cover. A5 is a handy page format: small enough to carry in a bag, with enough room on each page for plans, notes and lists. The cover is a muted rose-tan with a soft, cloudy, suede-like texture, and the tone shifts slightly across the surface, which gives the plain color some depth.
The pen holder is the feature that sets this diary apart. A vertical band of stitching runs down the right side of the front cover, and a rounded tab sits at the lower part of that band, set into a cut-out in the cover. The sheet calls it a pen keeper, and the close-up in the image shows a pen held in it, standing along the edge of the diary. A diary with a pen in it saves the small search that comes before every note, because the writing tool is already in place.
The rest of the front is kept clean. Fine stitching follows the edges of the cover, and the corners are softly rounded. At the upper left, the words “Twenty Seven” are embossed in a flowing script lettering in a slightly darker tone, so they show as a pressed mark and not as added color. With a single embossed mark and one stitched band, the cover looks calm and formal.
