Multi-function torch is the plain label for the Shroom (UG-GL22) from Urban Gear, a white, hand-sized light with a flared, mushroom-style head and one round button on its body. A wrist strap at the base lets it hang from the hand, a hook or a bag zip, so it is easy to find when the lights go out.
Everything runs through that single button, which keeps the Shroom simple to use even in the dark. One press turns the torch on. A double press switches to the flasher. A long press brings up the emergency light, and a further long press increases or decreases its brightness. A single press while the light is on switches it off. Because the controls rely on how you press rather than on a row of switches, the multi-function torch works without a manual after the first try.
The three modes suit different moments. The steady torch beam is for finding things, checking a cupboard or walking in a dim corridor. The flasher is meant to draw attention. The emergency light is the softer, adjustable option, and the images show it as a warm glow from the flared head while the torch stands upright on a table, lighting an open book at night.
At 6.5 x 16.5 cm, this multi-function torch is small enough for a bag, a car glove box or a desk drawer, yet large enough to hold comfortably. The white body keeps the look clean and uncluttered, and the mushroom-shaped head makes it recognisable on a shelf or a bedside table.
A multi-function torch like the Shroom is useful at home, in the office and on the road, wherever a small light is needed on short notice. The product sheet lists the modes and the dimensions, so that is what the description sticks to.
