Foldable LED desk lamp is the main idea behind the Light Fold (UG-GL20) from Urban Gear, a white lamp that opens into an upright light and folds down into a compact rectangular body. When it is open, a flat light panel sits at the top of the arm, and the base carries the wireless charging area.
This foldable LED desk lamp is touch operated, so the light is controlled with a tap on the lamp itself rather than a separate switch. It has three lighting modes, which gives you a choice of light settings depending on the task. The neck is adjustable, so the light panel can be tilted toward a notebook, a book or a keyboard.
The base works as a 15W fast wireless charger. A compatible phone placed on it charges without a cable, and the lamp also includes a built-in mobile stand, so the phone can stay within view while you work. Wireless charging only works with phones that support it, and the charging speed depends on the phone model.
The listed size is 5 x 4.5 x 17.3 cm, and the lamp comes in white. Putting the light, the wireless charger and the mobile stand into one unit means a desk or bedside table needs one accessory in place of three. A foldable LED desk lamp also has the advantage of being closed away when it is not in use, which leaves the table clear for other things.
The Light Fold suits reading, writing and laptop work, and anywhere a small lamp with phone charging is useful. As a foldable LED desk lamp with 15W wireless charging, it gives the person who owns it a light and a charging spot in the same place.
